Do Not See Eye to Eye

O.K., so the poll was done by Hazelden...however, the Public Attitudes Towards Addiction Survey found that 79 percent of the 1,000 adults polled called the War on Drugs a failure, and 83 percent said that first-time drug offenders should be sent to addiction-treatment programs, not prison.

Let's hope policy-makers learn to listen to the public and start treating addiction as a public-health issue, not a criminal problem.
